DIRTY LINEN Magazine Review Pat Surface and the Boundary Water Boys

“One of the under-the-radar finds of the year! Lead singer and principal song–writer Pat Surface knows his way around a well–crafted tune. The Boundary Water Boys’ music has texture and depth. Celtic‚ Bluegrass‚ Folk and Gospel based...but none of these genres defines or limits what they do. Fans of progressive acoustic music will find much to enjoy... Outstanding!”

Pat Surface and his award–winning band‚ the Boundary Water Boys ©‚ sing and play some old and new favorites from Pat’s first million miles on the road. With Nathan Wilson on violin and mandolin‚ Grammy Award–winner John Ely on dobro and harmonies‚ Doc Rob Mattson on guitar‚ bass and harmonies‚ and Terry Mattson on hand–drums and harmonies augmenting Pat’s signature vocals and LaPlant acoustic guitar – this long–playing CD (20 tracks) will take you on a great musical journey.

Included are several re–mastered archived tunes from earlier Boundary Water Boys CDs‚ including: Sitting On Top Of The World (trk 12) and Standing On The Rock (trk 15) and some new trade–mark Boundary Water Boys arrangements of nostalgic favorites such as: Feelin’ Groovy (trk 6)‚ Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (trk 3)‚ and Spirit In The Sky (trk 14).
